Welcome to our Practice

We aim to prevent dental disease rather than treat it at a later date and try to make coming to the

dentist a fun experience not a scary one.

Children are always welcome however young. 

We have a fantastic team of receptionists and dental care professionals who will try and make you feel welcome and at ease.

 

 

Routine Appointments

Please contact the surgery during working hours to arrange an appointment. Please state which dentist you wish to see if you have a preference.

If you are kept waiting there is normally a good reason, please be patient. However, do speak up if you feel you have been overlooked.

Your dentist should inform you of the most appropriate recall interval for your next check up.

We are able to email reminders. This is a courtesy service, you are still responsible for any appointments you may make.

Patients that do not return for over 3 years may be taken off the NHS list to make room for others.

 

Cancellations and Missed Appointments

We understand that occasionally appointments have to be cancelled at short notice and we will always try to use the time to treat another patient.  Therefore, please let us know as soon as possible or leave a message if the practice is closed.  If you do not keep your payment account clear, miss your appointment or if we receive less than 24 hours  notice of a cancellation, there may be a charge or we may not be able to offer you any further appointments. 

Urgent Dental Appointments  

We allocate time during the day to see regular       patients requiring urgent treatment. If you are having problems with your mouth you should ring the practice ideally first thing, before 10 am, so when necessary you can be seen the same day.

Out of surgery hours you should phone 111 or the practice and follow the instructions on the answer machine.

Please inform us of any change of address,    telephone numbers, medical history, email etc. All information is confidential. Please see or ask for a copy of the Data Protection code of practice or data protection policy for details of how we deal with your information.

 

Oral Health and Smoking Cessation

We have the fantastic services of a Hygienist.

If suitable, we are also able to offer an oral health review and smoking cessation as a free service for our patients. Ask for details.

 

Charity work

We support and raise money for Bridge2Aid amongst other charities. Some of us did volunteer work in Tanzania with Bridge2Aid in 2013. For more information ask one of the practice team or visit our facebook page.
